There were logs all piled up along the paths where they had been doing some thinning so we counted how old the trees were and made patterns from the rings . Can you see the flower top right?
Last time we were here we had somehow missed this carving, what a beauty
and what an awesome view it looks out upon.
Apparantly this is a good spot to see Red Kite but unfortunately we didn't see any, maybe next time.
We did find dinosaur eggs though -- wow
It was a lovely family day , despite the mud
You all know how much I love my trees ...........
Oh, and I've started knitting again -- yeah

What a fun walk in the woods. I really love those big eggs! I does feel good to get outside at this time of year and breath in some really good fresh air.

Looks like a wonderful day out! It's gray and muddy here too -- I hate this in between part of winter -- either give us sun or give us snow LOL! Yay for your knitting too!
Wow, my kids would love to find dinosaur eggs in the woods ;)
Happy Birthday to your Hubby :)
And it's always great to get the knitting mojo back!
I love woodland. I bet the boys enjoyed exploring in there and finding dinosaur eggs too! x
