Au Revoir.............

It's with a lot of sadness that I've decided to say Au Revoir to my little blog. Thank you for the four years we've spent together and an even bigger thank you to everyone who has been there with me through all my witterings. My head and heart just aren't in it any more.
There is a little side project which I might update from time to time so you  might see me again.
Take care xxx

So this morning I slept in, only by ten minutes but it was enough to knock me out of whack so to speak. I got myself all stressed out and flew around the house like a maniac, not that I had any need to but my routine was out of the window and I like my routines..... sometimes too much I think.

I got the boys to school in plenty of time, there wasn't any need to rush at all and then I headed off to Asda to get a few bits of bits and bobs for tea. On the way there I had the most horrible feeling in my stomach, you know when it's like dozens of butterflies are going mad inside and are trying to burst out?

Then for some unknown reason I started to cry , floods and floods of tears just running down my face and the strange thing is that I have no idea as to why I was crying. There is nothing wrong and nothing upsetting me but the tears just kept on coming. So I just sat in the car in the supermarket car park until they stopped.

I got my shopping and a bunch of daffodils as a treat and then set off home. On the way back I realised just what a glorious day it was the sun was shining and the sky was a cloudless brilliant blue and at that very moment I thought ' stuff it' everything I had planned to do today can wait,

Who is going to really care if the dust sits there a bit longer or the washing stays another day in the basket, what does it matter if the breakfast dishes are still there at tea time or the ironing doesn't get until another day. What does it really matter??

So I unpacked the shopping, made a quick toilet stop grabbed some poop bags and threw the dogs into the car, well not literally threw but you know what I mean, and went for a walk in the park. The birds were tweeting and singing, it was warm enough to wander around in my short sleeves and we took a slow amble around the full park.

The dogs didn't care how far they walked they would have gone on for much longer. I found a quiet spot at the top of a little hill and sat down just taking in my surroundings and thinking how beautiful it all is and how miraculous Mother Nature is and that sometimes all we need is just to take some time out, to take some deep breaths and relax.

I read somewhere the other day that the average working mam has just 26 minutes a day to herself, 26 minutes,,,,,, it's not a lot is it? So I think I need to make the most of those few minutes and do something for me ... I need me time. Time where I can choose to do nothing or maybe something just depending on how I feel. I need to not get so stressed out and worked up about things.

I have a few more orders for bunnies then I'm not doing any more,( orders that is) once again I've got myself into a hole where I've got three to do before Easter. I could have done them quite easily but sometimes I just don't feel in the mood for knitting, sometimes I just want to play on Farmville or read Blogs or maybe just have a look about on Pinterest. I wanted to do Easter stuff for the boys but it's not going to happen as I've put other people before them and for that I feel really guilty, the boys probably won't even mind but I mind and that messes me up inside.

I'm fed up of feeling tired and worn out from trying to do so many things at once, I'm not the person I used to be and I don't like that.

I'm taking a step back for a while.

A few days ago I read this post from Emma about a young girl who was collecting items to set up an auction on Ebay to raise money for Sports Relief.

Now if you've been following my blog for a while you might remember that a friend of mine died whilst filming for Sports Relief so I always like to try and do a little something in his memory.

So after reading Emma's post I quickly got in touch with Scarlett from Teen Granny who master minded the whole thing and offered her a bunny.

Now this bunny isn't just any bunny it will be made to your specifications, you will choose what colour it will be and what colour jumper it will be wearing. So please please please pop across to knit relief and bid ,even if it's not for my bunny you might see something else you like.

Another tree I saw yesterday was this Cherry tree or as I just nearly mis-spelled Cheery tree. It was so beautiful I thought it deserved a post all of its own.

I could have stood underneath it for hours and even saw a bee flying from flower to flower, I just wasn't quick enough to get a photo.

Oh and for those of us here in the UK the sun will set tonight at 6.01 pm and there are only 13 more sleeps until British Summer Time Begins..... yeah.

WOW, so was today a gorgeous day or what? A perfect Spring day in my opinion although Spring doesn't officially start for another 9 days yet but who's counting. The birds were singing their little hearts out and flowers are popping out and blooming all over the place.

I have to say that once again I didn't wake up in the best of moods, haven't been sleeping very well lately and Gabe has got into the habit of waking up real early, about 6am ish, and yelling for me at the top of his voice . Of course I'm the only one who hears him so have to dive out of bed, onto my poorly foot which I always forget about so I nearly fall over, before he wakes the whole house up. Then 9 times out of 10 I can't get back to sleep so get up before the banging headache starts.

Anyway enough of my moans and groans, the sun today was glorious and boy did it make me feel better. Just a slow walk around the park, for me anyway whilst the boys and pups just ran hell for leather here there and everywhere. We'd missed the main bank of crocus's but there were still plenty around and they were just soooo pretty. Nearly all in shades of purple or white or a mixture of both, no yellow ones  maybe they were amongst the ones we missed.

This is my favourite tree in the park and I think it's probably the biggest too. It's a huge Beech tree, I wanted to try and give you something to go on just so you could see just how big it is. Look closely and you will see two tiny figures at the base of the tree, that's the boys. Does that give you an idea of it's size?
It was really warm today too and my arms actually got their first airing of the year. It would be nice to think that we will get some decent sunny days this year and then there would be no need to be wishing that you were leaving on a jet plane for a sunnier climate.

The birds are pairing up and are nest building furiously and the old man who sits on the stump has even taken his hat off.  Yes today made me smile .

Hope you had a sunny smiley day too.

For those of you who like astronomy I strongly suggest that during this month you keep your eyes peeled as there are some amazing sights to be seen. Last night we saw the planets Venus , Jupiter and Mars.

The photo above shows Venus ( the bottom dot) and Jupiter ( the top dot) what you can't see is that to the left of Venus was a teensy tiny dot which was one of its moons.

The photo below shows the moon and to the left of it is Mars which was actually a pinkish colour. I'm sorry that my photo's are pretty rubbish but I hope it gives you some kind of idea. For more information you can check out this article.

Tonight there will also be a large Solar Storm, the largest in six years which could result in a viewing of the Northern Lights for some of us , you can read about that here. All exciting / scary stuff!

Okay, so you know that when you forget to empty one of your dirty washing baskets over the weekend  there will be consequences!!!

Guess who ended up wearing a pair of these today?

But I have to say.... they were actually quite comfortable.

During the week we've had blue skies and blossoms bursting,

warmth from the sun and people without coats.

Today we had cold, sleet and snow, lots of snow which unfortunately didn't lie and the most glorious sunset.

Hey, how are you all doing? It seems like ages since I last posted once again but sometimes life is just so busy busy busy. What with boys, pups, work and oh so much knitting, Easter is a very busy time for bunnies didn't you know.

The little lady above, who I've named Etta, was a custom order which I finished just last night and tomorrow she will be on her way to New York very close to 5th Avenue no less. Lucky, lucky Etta, I'm also a bit sad to see her go as she is another of my favourites, there are only a handful of bunnies that I wish I'd kept and she is most definitely in there.

Three little Wuzzies above are still for sale in my shop, they are so cute and wee, oh jeez I just used the word  ' wee' and that's one of my pet hate words - tiny I should have said tiny! I think they will be an ongoing thing as there are so many options of what I can do with them. I've even thought of what I can do with them for Christmas stocking fillers. There's nothing like thinking ahead is there cough cough ..

As for Princess Dina below she is also on her way to America , Sacramento if I remember rightly and she was also a custom order. Now I've got about 4 weeks to do three bunnies and a mouse but two of the bunnies are staying in Sunderland so I don't have to worry about shipping times.

So my aim for March apart from all the knitting is to try and blog more and also catch up with all you lovely ladies and your goings on.

Hope you all had a happy Leap Day  today and I do know of one lady friend who proposed to her boyfriend and he accepted anyone else out there do any asking?

I've been sitting here for about the past half hour just not knowing what to say ... a complete and utter blog block, it's happening more and more lately, maybe it's an age thing?

So a couple of days ago my favourite hessian shopper bag got a hole in, it's a good few years old and was a freebie from good old Nescafe coffee. You know when you used to save up the labels and then send off for goodies maybe you still can I'm not sure to be honest.
It was used a lot and I just had to find a replacement so I went on a shopper hunt and found these ' Good Bags'.

I had to bribe the boys with a biscuit to be models!!

I ordered them on Saturday and they arrived today and I'm very impressed, they seem very strong and well worth the money .

I bought myself  the knitting one, if you hadn't already guessed and what with Mothers Day not being too far away I bought the 'nana' and 'granny' as presents from the boys. You seriously should pop across and check out their site as the prices are also very very reasonable.

I also saw this little one and thought that maybe one of you guys might like it as a little pressie . It was my four years blogging anniversary back in January and lately I've been totally pants at leaving comments so it's also a sort of apology . All you have to do is leave a comment and maybe suggest some of your favourite blogs for me to read before midnight Saturday and I'll choose a winner on Sunday.

I'd also just like to thank everyone for the lovely comments on my last post they meant a lot.... thank you.
