* 4 *

Well I was right about the getting up part today . I had to drag myself from under the covers , Milo was already out of bed and had started to get dressed. Gabe was sound and did not want to be woken , crawling back down into the warmth of his bed like a snail crawling back into its shell..

Walking to school at 8.30am , it was still dark, not pitch dark but dark enough . It wasn't until this evening I found out that there had been a partial eclipse , though it was too cloudy for us here in the UK to really see anything. Missed an earthquake too, or so I found out from friends on Facebook .

There hasn't really been much of an opportunity to take photographs over the past few days as it is just soooo grey and the lighting is just dreadful. I've got three things on the knitting needles that I want to show you but the pictures I've taken just look like shadowy lumps ... fingers crossed it will get better soon. Oh and I got a present from one of the mams at school which I was so not expecting which I really would like you to see.

Anyway , that's enough for today I think. I'm going to have some tea with a glass of wine and continue with my Buffy fest .

See you tomorrow.

It has been bleak of late hasn't it? At least the days are gradually getting longer. I like the way you describe Gabe as a snail going back into his shell! It was too overcast for the solar eclipse here too and I did hear that an earthquake had reached as far as Sunderland!!!

I so know that morning feeling. Being on the otherside of the school run (a teacher), I am shattered this evening. Leaving in the dark and coming home in the dark is certainly bleak though on the up, it is only set to get brighter from here on in :) Enjoy your evening x

It is so hard to get up when it is so dark and cold outside. I am afraid I am a bit like Gabe.
Winter can't last forever... right?

On the other side of the world we're in the middle of summer. Mind you it seems to do nothing but rain. Blogging makes you so much more aware of how the world turns.

It's always so hard to get up in the mornings in January. I think it must be to do with the lie-ins over Christmas!
