It could be Chinese red birch, but I'm not sure!
I have no idea what tree it is. But it looks as if someone has lovingly wrapped taffeta ribbon around its bark.So very pretty.MBB x

I agree with Louise I think it is a Chinese Red Birch too. It sure has a beautiful bark.x
Such a beautiful bark. It reminds me of when my Mum used to have her Pledge out all the time! x
I find bark so interesting and like you have said when the sun catches it it changes aonce again
