I'm not sure what type of tree this is but the sun shining on the red bark was just gorgeous.

edit ; thanks Louise I do think it is a Chinese Red Birch .

I have no idea what tree it is. But it looks as if someone has lovingly wrapped taffeta ribbon around its bark.

So very pretty.

I find bark so interesting and like you have said when the sun catches it it changes aonce again
