Periwinkle Bear ta daa.
Yes ladies and Gents here is my first attempt at knitting a bear. His head is a bit wonky but I think that gives him a bit of character, don't you? Hub thinks I'm mad and just laughs because I was going around with a stupid smile on my face every time I got a bit finished. He says "he hopes I'm not going into production .. because it took me so long to knit". But I say the more you knit the faster you get.
Hmmm he ponders.
Getting a cuddle from M.
At least G has stopped trying to eat me !
I'm very pleased with him.
On a different note altogether I was in the park yesterday when I saw these in full flower
Now although I like plants I don't pretend to know that much about them so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong - but isn't it a bit early for them to be in full bloom? They are very pretty and have probably been battered to bits by the snow, rain and wind that we,ve had today which would be a pity.
On that note I'm off to get my chinese and to think about what I shall be making next....

Love the teddy welcome to blogland
That bear is damn good! Loved the kids too!
that bear is adorable, you must feel so proud to have made him yourself! Yes, I think it is very early for that rhododendron ( sp?) but it is one flower I dont know that much about. Maybe there is an early flowering variety?
Well done on finishing the bear! He looks very cute!
the bear looks great, you're right his wonky head adds a certain something, he looks quite pensive, maybe he's wondering what you should do with that lovely patchwork, I think add a lovely border to make it big enough for a double bed, and then quilt it!!!
That rhododendron's time clock is all wrong. Unless I'm mistaken they usually flower from about May to July! Mind you, Mum has had wallflowers in bloom for practically 12 months, so what's the odd rhodo flower among friends!
You deserve to leap around the house singing and dancing for as long as you like after creating that wonderful bear. That's no wonky head - it's a very thoughtful and questioning bear! He's perfect! I think you should go into production!
Hello Periwinkle. Thank you for leaving a comment on my blog. We are really lucky to have a farmer's market year round.
Your bear is very cute, and I can totally relate to the delight of finishing each little bit of a project. I think only a fellow crafter can understand that.
About the magazines, I too am addicted but am becoming less so now that I have found blogs.
Oh well done for finishing him! He is gorgeous. You should definitely go into production. I think you're right about the flower. I'm sure rhododendron's don't normally flower until April/May time. But I could be wrong, I'm not a flower expert despite having a Mum who is.
