2.10pm

On Sunday 25th May at exactly 2.10pm there was a momentous event in the Periwinkle household. Are you ready - I PUT THE LAST STITCH IN MY QUILT!!
My first attempts at applique, quilting and binding. It is all hand sewn, there is puckering, the corners are rubbish and I don't know wether to be glad or sad that it's all done.. I think relief sums it up nicely.

I haven't forgotten that I have been 'tagged' and there are also more postcards for Milo, but today is now officially Quilt Day ......

Congratulations! That is a beautiful quilt - you must be pleased with yourself, it's lovely! I only ever made one quilt - it taught me that I don't have the patience to do it on a regular basis!

It is a really is a stunning baby quilt - I love the dinosaurs and how the fabric of the name matches the fabric of the back of the quilt.

what an achievement, well done! Learning to quilt has always been on my list of wannadoos but I've still to take it up. I'm so impressed with your first quilt which looks perfectly beautiful to me.

Well done Lisa - it turned out really well!! Your quilting stitches look so small, and the applique is really sweet. Hope this will be the first of many.

Loving it! You've done an awesome job on that Lisa! I don't have much luck with corners when binding... if you have any tricks... pass them on!!

You're way to hard on yourself.... This quilt is gorgeous!!! I love all of your quilting, you've done such a great job to get as little puckering as you have... I always seem to get puckering but after a couple of washes it looks fine... Looking forward to quilt number 2..
