24th August 2010

In my life so far I have had 3 good friends , friends I would do anything for and them for me.

Two of these friends live across the country and although we keep in touch via phone, e-mail , facebook etc we very rarely see each other.

Today , one of these friends was visiting the town where I live, the town where she and her husband met whilst going to university.

We both have two boys , although hers are older.

The four of them get on really well , which is lovely to see.

Even though it's nearly one year to the day since we last met it's as though it were yesterday.

I miss her already.

I wished we lived closer.

Hello there,

I felt quite nostalgic reading your post as I have a friend whom I hardly see, yet when we do get together, it is as though time has stood still and we pick up where we left off.
Missing good friends is the hard part, but isnt it a blessing to have these special people in our lives! I hope you and your friend can meet again soon.

Much love

I understand! Glad that you had a good catch up with your friend. I don't have many of those types of friends... but I sure miss the ones I do have that are like that. We are about 5 hours from our friends... shouldn't have moved away!!! It's always lovely to have a catch up and for it to be the same as it always was.

Fantastic photos Lisa. Your new camera, and its owner is doing a great job! Yes, it is lovely to have best friends. At least with modern technology it is a bit easier to keep in touch these days. x

Oh my gosh, I'm so excited to find your blog :-) I live in Texas now but was born and bred in Sunderland, I was just home there back in February visiting my Mam who was very sick at the time. I've lived in the States for about 12 years now and I love the times I come home to visit.
I saw your Barnes Park Blog first but then saw this current one and loved seeing your photos. I am off to have a further browse around if you don't mind. Come say hi if you get a chance either at my knitting blog or my daily blog.
Hugs Denise

What a beautiful place you live in! We just had our best friends visit from across the country. I'm having withdrawals now too! It's funny because we have two girls, and they have two girls. :) Friends are such a blessing! x
