Fungi, Flowers And A Funk

This week I have been in a right funk with myself, I have no idea why ,it's not like there is actually anything wrong. I've been eating all the wrong stuff again and will be surprised if I've lost any weight this week. I must pull myself together and cheer myself up.

Milo has been learning all about mini beasts at nursery school so we took a walk to see what we could find and ended up looking for Fungi instead, I much preferred this as spiders do not go down to well in my book!!
We found these

I couldn't tell you what any of them are called :-)

Then today as I was out for a walk I spotted these, which I think are Common Spotted Orchid, nestling among the clover and Birds Foot Trefoil,

I'm not sure what type of orchid this is but it's a lovely colour

This Pyracantha bush is in my neighbours yard it's absolutely covered in flowers and the bees love it

This Snapdragon just grew wild in my yard and is nearly 39" tall , it's taller than the foxglove that you can just see peeking through - has anyone else got one like this or bigger?

Anniversary flowers from hub - gorgeous

Last but definately not least, I won a giveaway from Audrey and Maude, they have some really lovely patterns. They've came just in time for me to make my bunting and I might even attempt an apron for my mams birthday

What lovely patterns! You lucky thing! Don't worry about the times when the diet feels like it is going wrong - just concentrate your energies on when it is going right! Lucy x

Hope you feel better soon. I just hate it when I'm in those moods. If it makes you feel any better I just ate two, ok, three chocolate chip cookies. And I'm planning on washing it all down with a nice glass of wine! Yippee!!

I still want to see the knitted knickers.

Don't put yourself under pressure about the diet thing. Just walk more when you can to burn up the extra calories. When you're walking try to pull in your stomach muscles as that helps to tone them up. I like the giveaway that you won!

I think sometimes you just have to eat the wrong things and not beat yourself up over it. Just make sure that some days you try and eat better things (she says with a mouth full of peanut butter!!!). Love seeing all your photos,
Kimx

Lovely patterns, and I hope you are feeling a bit smilier today :) Good luck with the diet ... if it helps my husband stopped drinking soft drink and eating pastry at work. I reakon fidget a lot! Very nice fungus pics too

Sounds as though you're being v. hard on yourself about what you're eating. If you're feeling a bit down it's hard to do hair shirt eating.

You're photos are beautiful - had no idea there was such a range of fungi fruiting at this time of year - I thought they were primarily autumnal. Lovely lovely flowers - that orchid's a real find.

I think there must be something in the air ... I'm piffed off too! Don't let one step backwards put you off going forwards! You can do it.

What beautiful pictures. Those patterns are too cool - you're on a winning streak :) I hate when those 'funks' creep in ... sometimes a day ... sometimes a week. I hope yours is just that day. If it makes you feel any better I ate a few Freddos yesterday AND too many to count chocolate chip cookies. I wasn't even hungry - just bored and wanted chocolate!
