Freddo's And More Postcards

Back in April Adrienne declared her love for Freddo. Now I'm never one to come between a girl and her true love so I offered to send her some.
This is when Adrienne came up with the idea of a swap - Freddo for a Tote. A girl can never have too many bags , so a few days ago I recieved this in the post, isn't it pretty. Inside there is also a little clip - she must have known I always lo
se my keys in the bottom of my bag and spend forever standing on the doorstep raking in my bag - not anymore!

Hub also recieved a present, but a blue legged thief is trying to pinch them!! I wonder who that can be?

The boys recieved a present too, which Milo has claimed

As far as Milo is concerned anything with Planes, Trains, Automobiles and Buses is a winner

He also got another three postcards. Big Thank you's to Adrienne, Louise and Sabine ( who doesn't have a blog). His little collection is growing nicely now.

Thanks again to everyone who has sent cards and stamps x

Pies and Wow, Wow, Wow

This morning whilst Baby G was napping, Milo and I decided to do some baking. Policemans helmet and PJ's are optional - as it was 7.30 am!

These pics just reminds me how much I really dislike this kitchen! Milo made a pastry man and some mini quiche. I made sausage and tomato pie.

and he wants to cook again tomorrow!!

Then we went to the library for some new books, he was a bit upset as his friend Joan the librarian wasn't there and she lets him stamp his own books - but when we got home and opened the front door his mood soon changed as there on the doormat was 5 pieces of post all for him.

There weren't many other words apart from wow, wow, wow and ooh as he saw 3 gorgeous bird photographs made into postcards from Leanne, all with different denomination stamps on them,

a cute card and a bundle of stamps from Lisa & Sarah - I think they had raided their own stamp collection as there were some quite old stamps too,

and a pretty Rosalie Quinlan card ( I might just keep this ) and another bundle from Rachel.

I think he was a bit overwhelmed by the amount of stamps and didn't know what to look at first, but it was the first thing he told Hub about when we met him off the bus after work.

Milo wants to say a BIG BIG thank you to you all for your generosity and thought that has gone into what he has recieved so far. You sure know how to make a little boy happy.

Now to go and find something we can do tomorrow.

Family Saturday

Hub was working a late shift last week so we hardly saw him at all, as he was off work on Saturday and it was such a lovely day ( sorry to rub it in) we decided to have a family day out to the beach.
I don't think I've mentioned it before but this beach
is only about 3 miles from where we live. We walked all the way along to the second cove that you can just see in the distance and then all the way back. Notice the lighthouse is in front of us, from up above..

Here it is behind us from the second cove

Behind us, from down below in the first cove, on the way back.

Hub and Milo played football

While Baby G experienced sand for the first time - Milo used to hate sand and screamed whenever it touched him!

Baby G loved it.

I think maybe we should go here more often, and it makes a change from all the park pictures that I post!

Good Day / Bad Day

Milo fell over on the way to the shops , magic spray and a kiss from mammy and pops made it better - bad

Burnt dinner veggies - bad

Baby G slept for an hour when Milo was at nursery so I only have this little bit left to do - good

Went to the park with Baby G when he woke up - good

Look what we saw - he ran right across the path in front of us, can you spot him in the middle of the tree?( I never realised how nice this tree is) - Mr Squirrel. - good

The first brood of 10 is now down to 5.. half didn't make it- bad, half did - good ( there is one in the water)

Picked Milo up from nursery to be told that he had jammed his thumb in a door and fallen over a bike ! - bad
Now -- boys asleep in bed, hub at work, house to myself, glass of cider in hand ,reading blogs, Criminal Minds on in an hour --- very good.
Have a lovely weekend everyone x

The Sun Has Got His Hat On,

The last few days have been just gorgeous, so sunny, warm and summery, I hope it's a sign of the summer we are going to get., fingers crossed. So what have we been up to?

Well, I got a bonus prize in a giveaway from Hughes and Nordberg, these gorgeous little cards - what you can't see is that the dresses are actually p
added and stand out from the card, lovely.

A walk in the park yesterday produced these pics

Today Baby G slept for 2 hours, yeah so I sat in the back yard with my sewing , I even had my legs out which is a very rare sight indeed. Dot was sunbathing on the wall above me

Remember when I showed a picture of the yard and said the Mexican Orange Blossom had never flowered, well it's changed it's mind this year - a bit like Tess's lilac.

Baby G is well and happy, clapping , waving and loving his mini ball pit

and guess what., Milo got his first postcard from London Land! Thank you so much Simone. It arrived after he had gone to nursery so I left it on the mat for him coming home. Don't you just love it when you see their little faces light up?

Now I'm off to do more sewing..I am so close to finishing the quilting .

From Milo

Hi my name is Milo and I am 3. The other day I was watching the Koala Brothers and George ( the postman) has a day off, he starts to collect stamps. So I told my mammy that I would like to collect stamps too. I was wondering if any of mammy's friends would like to send me a postcard with a stamp on so I can put them in a book please? Here is a big kiss from me.

Thank you
Milo x

Milo did start to type this himself, I was telling him the letters to press but it was going a bit slow for him so I typed what he asked me to. If anyone would like to do this for him just send me an e-mail and I'll send you the address . We though postcards as then he could see where people are from etc and he also gets the stamps.
Thank you...

I Don't Have A Name?

Well that was a bit of a to do, hopefully I've found everyone now and I've found a few extras too, so that was quite nice.

I'd just like to say a huge Thank You to all the comments about my quilting, my mind is now set at rest and it is going to be continued in the same pattern. I will show you the finished product so don't worry. I think I also have to explain that Hub likes the actual quilt he just thought that the " echo lines" detracted from the flowers ( which he actually suggested that I do)bless him , he is such a sweetie and I love him to bits. It was all my fault if I made him come across like a baddie.

Now, I did actually manage to get one WIP from last month finished, I can't believe it's the 1st of May already which means it's only 10 weeks until the boys birthdays when Milo will turn 4 and Baby G will be 1..scary. Anyway, got a bit side tracked there, here is what I finished- a friend for Periwinkle. I did eventually persuade Milo that he needed arms and legs or he wouldn't be able to play with the other toys whilst he was asleep.

Here they are having a chat while the sun was shining.

Posing with the mini daffodils

He hasn't actually got a name yet, Milo wants to call him Chef, but I was thinking Sir Claret as his nose is a bit stuck up in the air and he is a wine colour?

Yesterday I had a meet up, my first one, with Sarah, it was lovely to meet you Sarah and although we didn't have a 4 hour chat like she did with Lucy , we still managed a short chat whilst drinking a hot chocolate topped with cream and Milo being a 3 year old and acting himself!!

Now I'm determined to get the quilt finished this month as I'd like to start some bunting for the July birthdays, amongst other things......
