Days......

Over the past few weeks we've had lots of different types of days including more sunny beach days

Hot - let's eat salad days .... including trying beetroot for the first time and laughing at the fact that if you eat a lot of it your wee can go pink !!

Watching our one and only sunflower growing to over 12ft days,

Getting woken up bright and early by the family of seagulls on our chimney days,

Bowling days ( another first ),

One thing we've been really lucky with is the weather and we haven't had that many rainy , have to stay at home all day kinds of days, today was one of those. So apart from rainy what kind of day was today?

A painting day,

A watching film day.... 10 points to the first person who can name the film that kept the boys quiet for over an hour..?

A cake baking with Pops when he got home from work day,

Can you guess what I had some time to do today ..... I'll give you a clue

So what kind of day was yours?

That's me keeping your boys quiet ... according to the latest quiz at FB ;-)

Looks like you're having a lovely holiday time. Isn't it fab not to be in the school routine?

Your summer photos are lovely - especially the feet in the sand - one of my favourite childhood memories was spending time at the beach each summer! Your sunflower is amazing. Glad you are finding time for some knitting too.

Today was a gardening day for me, but I've had some crafty days, too, and some of the results are up on my blog!

We are all covered in sand from a day at the beach 'day' and I'm just about to dunk the kiddies in the bath!

That has to be my all time favourite film - The Wizard of OZ, good choice.

Enjoy the rest of the day,

What wonderful days you have had. I love the gulls on the chimney day. The wizard of Oz was Gemma's most favourite film.

You sound like you're having wonderful summer days together, lovely.
Today I've had a not so good day as we had to go and buy the dreaded school uniform, it felt very strange being in the middle of a shopping centre, couldn't wait to get home and be in the garden.
Hope you enjoy the rest of the hols

Haven't we been lucky with the weather up here? It hasn't been a hot summery kind of summer but it sounds like we've had a lot less rain than bloggy friends further south!

Your days sound great!

I do miss having lots of days out with the boys; we are all going out together on Friday. It’s a shame they have to grow up.

I loved the picture of all the paintings hanging up!

Have a lovely week…love Lou xxx

I really love this post Lisa! I love each and every picture, especially the sandy feet and the kids' art work hanging to dry. So sweet, and so wonderful to see you enjoying each moment of summer with your precious family. I also love your new mushroom banner picture. It's gorgeous my friend! x

Your days all look so much fun. Love eating beetroot.
My day has been a sunny one in the garden, a bit of a chicken day really as we have new chicks to delight us.

Painting day sounds SOoooooo good ... we have just been on 'vacation' ... it is clear as a mum I will never have a 'vacation' again until the kiddies leave home ;-) Hope you all are well x

A great incentive to get the boys to eat beetroot. I love the stuff, and 'have' noticed the after effect! We get seagulls nesting behind ours, and neighbouring chimneys too. They make a great alarm at 4.00 am! I like your idea of hanging out the paintings to dry. They look great in the window. x

Hope you're still having a good summer - this holiday seems really long, maybe because we've not been away anywhere. I swear your boys get bigger each time I see them!
