17th October 2010

Last weekend I was doing a bit of blog reading and most people from the UK were talking about how lovely the weather was, how warm and sunny it was for this time of year. Not so here in the North East of England - here it was dank, drizzly and grey , perfect weather for shrooms.

This weekend was the exact opposite, it looks as though we were having some of the warm sunny weather finally ... which was probably why I couldn't find any shrooms .

It didn't matter though , it just meant I wasn't on my knees so much taking photos , instead I spent more time looking up at all the gorgeous colours the leaves were turning.
These leaves were lying on an old tree stump riddled with bug holes but the patterns on the stump were like marble - it was beautiful.

A few of you have asked what camera I use , and for the friend who said she imagined me wandering around with zoom lens' hung around my neck I can tell you it''s just a little point and click Nikon Coolpix S203, slimline fits in your pocket no fancy lens's or anything.

I couldn't resist taking this pic of the old man sitting on a tree stump , he was actually watching his dog but I think it was the plastic bag that he's carefully hung on the tree that got me .

My goodness that little Nikon is value for money. For that price it is going to owe you nothing! Wonder what that little old man had in his bag? x

I love people pics they make think about the person in the photo. I wonder what he was pondering as he sat on the log.
