If I told you that this afternoon the pipe underneath our sink sprung not one but two leaks would you believe me?

I couldn't help it I had to show you my new toys.
Hub surprised me today , not only did I get a new washing machine but..........
I also got a tumble dryer .......... which has already been put to good use thanks to the rain ..

Firstly, thank you for all your kind comments from yesterdays post . I think I was feeling a bit sorry for myself due to all these hormones doing strange things but I suppose it's what you come to expect when you are female and of a certain age. If anyone has any " flush" tips or suggestions I'd love to hear them...
As far as all the broken appliances go we now have a new microwave and the car is all fixed . There is a long very boring story about the washing machine so to cut it short . This morning we bought a washer from quite a well known electrical store , the woman who sold it to us was very pushy , gave us wrong information and basically wound me up something chronic, it also didn't help that the " free delivery on all items " signs around the store meant it would be free if you were prepared to wait for 3 weeks !! So, this afternoon when I got a text message from them with more duff information I went back to the store and cancelled the whole thing. We are now getting one from a local store which has been in business for 40 years and fingers crossed it will arrive tomorrow.
The photos are from a little walk that me and the boys took after we'd dropped Hub off at work . He's on lates this week so starts at 2pm and doesn;t finish until 10pm .
I know I've said it before but we really are lucky to have so many nice parks where we live . I've shown pictures of this one before but it's not one we visit very often.
There is a house behind these gates and the park used to be part of its gardens. ( there is a link if you click on house but I can't get it to be a different colour )
Unfortunately it was set on fire recently by vandals but most of it was saved . If you have £850.00 spare and would like to buy it then click here . It's a pity really because with a bit of love and a lot of money it could be a gorgeous house.
I never realised just how many damson trees there were here but most of them were just too high for us to pick. With the help of a crooked stick we did manage to hook a few branches and pick off about a dozen or so.
The trees here are really old and the trunks are so thick , I should have done the " hug test" to try to work out exactly how old - maybe next time .
We also saw a grey squirrel but the pheasants and partridges were nowhere to be seen. It didn't really matter though, it was just nice to be out amongst the green and feel the warmth of the sun.
Fingers crossed the sun comes out tomorrow so we can get the washing dry - that's if I manage to get it done !!

I don't know how I feel today , restless , stressed , twitchy - nothing I can put my finger on , but not myself , all out of sorts.
I feel miserable, tired , worn out......... hopefully I'll get a decent nights sleep tonight , no hot flushes , no hot sweats .
I don't think I like this time of my life very much ...

I'm not going to mention the fact that the little man told me that it would cost more to fix the washing machine than to buy a new one or the fact that tomorrow the car goes for it's new timing belt because tonight ladies and gentleman I am going to be ..........
After 8 weeks of wobbling and even though the adult tooth was growing behind it and trying it's best to push it out , todaythe little bottom front tooth lost its fight to stay attached to the gum and we have a jelly tot to thank for it. Milo finally lost his second tooth ..

Thankfully Gabe is feeling much better today , he still has the sniffles/runny nose and is talking like he has a peg stuck on it but he's fine, still running around causing havoc ..
The same can't be said of our little car unfortunately . They say things come in threes and this must be the third thing to go wrong after the microwave and the washing machine( the little man is coming to sort that out tomorrow)
The car went for a service today and also ended up with four new tyres and then we were told that she needs a new timing belt asap ---- more pennies !! Anyone know the numbers for next weeks lottery by any chance?
The pics were taken yesterday in the park , Milo can be a proper little poser --- chuckle.

This morning started off really well , sun shining and everyone happy. I decided to take the boys out whilst Hub prepared our Sunday lunch of roast lamb and veggies .
See those two little dots at the bottom of the tree , that's Milo and Gabe so it will give you an idea as to how big this conker tree actually is.
It seems like ages since I've taken pictures of green , the trees , flowers etc. So I went a little snap happy.
After a run around the park we went back home. Last night the microwave broke, Hub had been unable to fix it so off we went , microwave shopping.
It didn't take us long to find one thankfully. Back home again I went to empty the washing machine only to find it had stopped mid cycle and was flashing some sort of code at me. Apparantly the code means some heating element has broken - brilliant !!
Nothing I could do as tea was ready. Oh boy , Hub cooks a mean lamb dinner.
Whilst we were clearing up though Gabe took a poorly turn and vomited all over the table.
So Hub wrapped him up in a blanket and he lay on the settee watching Back To The Future while I took the washing to my parents to get it rinsed and spun.
For a day that started so well it didn't end so good , poorly boy, expense on microwave and most probably the washing machine and it's raining again.
Oh well, tomorrow is another day...
