I can't believe the first week of the school holidays is over already , but then again I can't believe it's nearly August !!!
Even though there are signs all around that Autumn is starting to creep in , very slowly inch by inch I just don't want to accept it - not yet anyway .
The blackberries are all ripening , seed heads are forming and today we found conkers . A lot of them were still quite small but others , well, just see for yourself.
I think it's going to be a good year for them judging by this whopper?

Your pictures do look very autumnal Lisa. I guess every thing came early because we had such dreadful, long winter. Hold off autumn - I haven't even been to visit the beach yet!!!
Doesn't it fly by :-). Our holidays are nearly over now, just two-and-a-bit weeks left!
I noticed some fields had been harvested yesterday, and my garden is at that Michaelmas Daisy stage! x
The combine harvesters are working the fields around our village now and the tractors are working into the night already!! Where has the year gone?

Fall won't be here for a few months yet. Next week we will have temps as high as 106!! I want it to be Fall!
I too can't believe how quickly the holidays are passing although with C starting school next September I'm quite excited about them finishing! Shouldn't wish the time away though, it's lovely hanging out with the boys each day. Bethx
