12th February 2010

Hi guys, me again........ so how are you all, doing fine and looking forward to the weekend I bet ?

I was going to show you pics of my cake as it's Friday Cake Bake but there was a slight mis-hap.

Whilst checking to see if the chocolate brownies were cooked my finger went through the crispy top coating and into the cake below, said finger started to burn from the sticky uncooked mixture . I immediately shook my hand to get the mixture off but it flew into the air and landed on my lip ,,,,, the lip which is now sporting a very unslightly blister about the size of a penny and is very painful!!!
The brownies never did cook properly and ended up in the bin..

So how do you fancy seeing what I made last month instead , knitting wise that is?

A set for a boy.

And a set for a girl.

Now before the cogs start whirring , the answer is NO I'm not , chuckle. I just fancied doing something different . I don't actually have any plans for these so I'll probably put them in my shop. What do you think?

OUCH! That would have hurt. Do you need one of those metal skewers to test the cakes?????

Cute baby girl and boy stuff too. :)

Oh my goodness! I hope you are on the mend! Baking is dangerous business, that's my excuse for not doing much of it ;) I LOVE what you have been knitting, they are all so lovely! I can't wait for winter to roll around here, so I can knit... it is a little too hot to knit at the moment. Have a lovely day ~ Tina x

Yikes! Sorry about the burns!

The baby sets are both adorable!!! I just started a little pair of knitted mary janes last night -- they're so fun and quick. I love your little play toys too -- very, very cute!

Oh no, what a disaster with the brownies, and for them to end up in the bin too, after wreaking so much damage. I hope those blisters have now healed. Cute pink booties! x

The knitted sets are absolutely beautiful. I love the colours - the pinks and blues are not too sickly. Makes me almost wish I was pregnant again so I could "myself" a set - ha ha not quite!
