12th July 2010

I ran out of time for Gabes birthday eve pyjamas and looking at these photos I've just realised that I didn't put the mouth on the monster - oops. The applique monster is once again from Kellies awesome quilt pattern.

I also had to choose between putting his name and age on the back or making the monster .

I think I made the right choice in making the monster .

I can't believe that tomorrow I'll be the mother of not only a six year old but also a three year old. Happy Birthday Gabe ...

2nd July 2010

Wow, what a busy week we've had here and as for the weather , phew it's been hot . Just thought I'd share a few random photos that have been taken over the past few days.

Sitting and playing in buttercup fields.

Finding some wild orchids in the same fields.

Milo using chopsticks for the first time .

Getting cherries that we can actually eat from our little trees that are grown in pots .

Tiny sweet strawberries from the plant that " never" stops flowering.

A couple of happy miniature sunflowers that are growing where my failed vegetable patch was!!

Another monster but this time he has fluffy eyes.

Well, next week is going to be busy, busy, busy as it's the boys birthday party next Saturday and there is sooooo much still to do . I'll probably be M.I.A for a little while so hope you all have a lovely week and I'll see you soon.

Hope all you " happy swapees" managed to get in touch with your partners ?

27th June 2010

What a glorious day, after the huge thunder storm last night it's nice to see the sun out again.

Most of yesterday was spent doing the dreaded grocery shopping and then Hub and the boys sat glued to a screen, first it was the new Harry Potter lego game on PS3 and then the football.

Now don't get me wrong I do like the football and I'm not averse to them playing games for a short while but sometimes it just gets ridiculous.

This morning it was my turn for a lie in but I was still up by 8.30am. When I came downstairs the boys were not surprisingly sat on the couch with the PS3 on. When I told them we were going out Gabe was fine but Milo looked like he'd been slapped in the face with a wet fish !!

Hub decided he wasn't coming so it was just me and the boys ..... ( as I write this Hub is still playing on the PS3 and it's 2.30pm ).

When I was younger I spent most of my time outdoors, it might have been different if we'd had console games I suppose but most of my best memories are of places I went with my parents , camps or dens that I made with friends in someones garden or just playing on a bike.

I don't want to sound like a moaning minnie and I know as a parent it's me that has control of what they do but it's hard when Milo comes home from school and talks about what his friends do or when Hubs idea of relaxing is playing console games .

It did make me smile when I was driving home with two just about naked boys in the back and Milo said that he'd had a great time and was glad that he'd came .. and then Gabe asked if we could come again tomorrow - maybe we'll just do that ..

June 26th 2010

Hey peeps , hows your weekend going ? We've had glorious weather the past few days but at this precise moment we are in the middle of a thunder storm, the sun is still shining but the rain is lashing down and old Mr Rattley Bags is really giving it his all.

Anyway, enough of the weather, I've been cleaning out some of the pics and I came across these.

Not surprisingly I have no idea where I got the pics from so my apologies to the owner but the reason I am posting about them is that I would really really like to get my hands on some . I did have some very similar to these a long time ago but to cut a long story short they were stolen from me.
So if anyone knows where I could get them or could point me in the right direction I'd be eternally grateful.

I've checked Etsy and Ebay with no luck ..
